Laken Sooy has been involved in gymnastics for as long as she can remember, competing in Region 5 through high school before continuing her career at SUNY Brockport with the support of Full Out Collegiate Recruiting. She competed all four years, serving as team captain for two years, before an ACL injury ended her collegiate career. Laken graduated from Brockport in 2025 with degrees in Exercise Science and Kinesiology and minors in Spanish and Biology.

Laken is currently pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at The Ohio State University, with plans to work in a setting where she can help athletes navigate and recover from sports-related injuries. She has also coached girls from the recreational level through Level 10, giving her experience on both sides of the sport.

As a former Full Out client herself, Laken brings a unique perspective to the recruiting process. Having experienced firsthand the excitement, challenges, and decisions that come with finding the right collegiate fit, she is passionate about helping young gymnasts navigate their own recruiting journeys. Laken is excited to support athletes and families as they pursue their goals and find the right college experience.
